Trollech: shy wood-elves of black metal

Perhaps this video has already made the rounds among black metal types, I don't know. Since I'm not a poser, I don't really keep with with that scene. I must have just stumbled across this video while I was looking for the latest wigger slam metal or something, I don't know. If you've already seen it, I apologize.

In any case, this is a great video in which Czech band Trollech cavort around in the forest, playing their instruments in the leaves and playing hide and seek. It's really cute. the description says they are "tree hugging black metal," and they seem to be total weirdos, like the black metal version of Karl Beuchner.

Peekaboo!

I was hoping they would all get electrocuted, but no.

Apparently evil wood sprites play Jackson basses just like the guy from Day of Suffering.

I've fallen... and I can't get up!

Here's the whole video if you can bear it:

  1. How do you say, "Holy fuck..." in Czech?

Only thing that would've made this more hilarious would've been if they had their drum machine in the creek/leaves with them.

    So bad...

  3. i know i've said this before...but black metal bands should not be allowed to be photographed, much less video taped in color. blown out black and white photography is the way to keep an image. the days when bands like these showed less was so much better. it's like someone suddenly revealing their goiter...you kinda wish they had left the turtle neck on.

  9. totally agree with the comment about black metal needing to only be seen in high contrast black and white...i mean, do these guys really look at the finished product and think "oh yea, i look totally evil in my blue tunic"?
at least the camera came in for a close-up so i could see that he was playing an "apollo" brand guitar, haha.

  11. Amazing.

I hate telling people I like black metal, because everyone instantly thinks of this crap. Oh well.

  12. BM has become just as unforgivably stupid and self-deluded as LA hair metal did in the late 80's.
Kudos to the camera guy who was brave/retarded enough to appear in the credits.

  14. Wow, it looks like they watched Immortal's "Call of the Wintermoon" video and actually took it seriously! My 3-year old son who is afraid of the dark, strange noises, Heffalumps and Woozles, and pretty much everything, thought this video was funny.
